The Canon Ixus 850 IS performed excellently in the magazines’ tests. The 7.1 megapixel camera combines superb image quality and innovative technologies such as optical image stabilisation and an advanced face-recognition system.
Many reviews also emphasized the improved low-light performance due to the great ISO range up to 1600. Noise is low up to ISO 400. Around and above ISO 800, however, noise is clearly noticeable.
